20,000lb chiller on mezzanine

DDOT Chiller
With combined efforts CCI just completed a challenging project to say the least. CCI was awarded to install a new chiller at the DDOT building in Detroit, Mi. Through a long discussed planning phase CCI developed rigging plan to lift the 20,000lb 18’ L x 9’8” H chiller up on to the 11’ mezzanine. Sounds easy right? Well CCI not only had to elude the ceiling, but had to design a rigging platform to raise the chiller work wise due to the narrow hallway, and tight tolerances on the 10’ mezzanine door. With a safe rigging plan, and all eyes on the prize CCI finished the project safely, on time, and on budget.

Generator Rigging

Tight Space + Big Machine = CCI -Rigging

CCI got the call to perform another close quarters scenario in Bloomfield Hills. CCI was tasked to install a new CAT Generator in a location unknown to non-riggers. CCI was able to elaborate a plan to use key pieces of equipment and specialty rigging devices to set a 15ton, 12’ high by 25’ long generator onto a concrete pad. Sounds easy right? Well there were pivotal obstacles that we had to overcome. CCI formulated the correct rigging for the approximate weight, and we carefully moved the generator into place with only 1” of space on each side. CCI completed the project on time safely with the help of key employees. CCI continues to install generators, chillers, transformers, and switchgear around metro Detroit area.
